President at the Museum until early next year, Kildare is at Dadford's and getting a new wooden back cabin.

President was built in 1909 at the Fellows, Morton and Clayton company dock at Saltley, Birmingham.
The company built and operated 31 steam narrow boats between 1889 and 1931. President was bought by the Black Country Living Museum in January 1983, and Kildare was bought in September 1991. The museum is assisted in maintaining and operating the boats by the Friends of President. The boats tour the waterways in the summer promoting the museum & the waterways in general. Please browse our website to see more about the history and activities of the boats, and to find out how you can become a member of the Friends of President.
